Integrate Logins with HP CIFS Server, HP-UX, and Windows 2003R2/2008
24
Enter the name of a profile object for LDAP-UX. Since most installations of Unified Login will likely
require multiple HP-UX servers in a cluster, use the server uname to differentiate the profile name. The
actual entry for the screen above was “cn=atcuxvm5profile,cn=system,dc=atcwin1,dc=hp,dc=com”.
NOTE: AN advantage of using Windows 2003R2/2008 as the Directory Server is that the
RFC2307 attributes are present in the schema by default, thus removing a common objection to the
Unified Login solution: extending the schema. However, LDAP-UX requires a very minor schema
extension to add the proxy user.
LDAP-UX provides a tool to observe the location of the proxy user, shown below.
# /opt/ldapux/bin/ldapcfinfo -P
dn: cn=atcuxvm6profile,cn=system,dc=atcwin1,dc=hp,dc=com
host: 15.43.208.126:389
#
The output of ldapcfinfo can be used to look up the proxy user with the
Windows tool ADSIEDIT.
