In Mixed Mode, the CIFS/9000 member server authenticates users with the same protocol
exchange as in an NT4.0 domain.
4.3.4 Windows 2000 Client Mapping CIFS/9000 Server: Native Mode
The user logon authentication protocol exchange is the same for Mixed or Native modes.
