Table 4 Defects fixed in HP CIFS server version A.03.01.04
ResolutionDescriptionIdentifier
This issue is fixed in this release.Under certain conditions, the HP CIFS
Samba Web Administration Tool
QXCR1001169255
(SWAT) may allow unauthorized
access.
This issue is fixed in this release.Starting with the HP CIFS server
version A.02.04 onwards, the “info
QXCR1001056133
level” check has been removed. Due
to this, the HP-UX file permissions
cannot be modified to reflect the
Windows read-only attributes.
This issue is fixed in this release. The HP CIFS server does not support
winbind nested groups and this is
QXCR1001121562
documented in the HP CIFS Server
Administrators Guide. Starting with
HP CIFS server version A.02.04.xx
onwards, the default value for winbind
nested groups is changed from no to
yes. The new default value of yes
causes error messages similar to the
following to be written to the debug
logs: [2011/11/24 18:19:41, 0]
auth/auth_util.c:create_builtin_users(810)
create_builtin_users: Failed to create
Users [2011/11/24 18:19:41, 2]
auth/auth_util.c:create_local_nt_token(993)
create_local_nt_token: Failed to create

Table 5 Defects fixed in HP CIFS server version A.03.01.03
ResolutionDescriptionIdentifier
This issue is fixed in this release. When a samba_setup script is
executed, it creates a krb5.conf file.
QXCR1001105154
This krb5.conf file does not work
in the joining process on the
Win2k8R2 domain.
This issue is fixed in this release. The keytab file made with the net
ads keytab create command
QXCR1001106350
does not work with a Win2k8R2
domain.
This issue is fixed in this release. The CIFS server version A.03.01.xx
on HP-UX 11i v2 systems cannot join
QXCR1001115194
the domain and the system crashes,
because the default value of mmap is
set as yes. In the current release, the
default value of mmap is set to no and
this enables CIFS server to join the
domain.
This issue is fixed in this release. Some of the tdb debug statements
are set incorrectly to level 0 and
QXCR1001136258
cannot be removed from the log file.
The tdb debug statements are
hardcoded to level 5, because of an
error in the macro, it sets level 0 as
the default debug level.
This issue is fixed in this release.HP CIFS server does not support the
auditing function. Hence the
