This release contains the following enhancements and changes:
smbmonitor.pl Script
Intended for use outside the ServiceGuard environment, smbmonitor.pl
is a perl script which has been provided to enable automatic checks of the
running state of CIFS Server daemons. This script provides many
options which allows for the specification of daemons to check, the nature
of the check (PID missing or also hung), the schedule of the status
checking, and the actions to be taken upon status failures including the
amount of data to be collected, the mechanism for reporting status
failures including logging and email alerts, whether the daemons should
be restarted, and execution of a command option.
