Notes, Cautions, and Warnings
• It is assumed that the administrator is familiar with the general PAM framework. The
administrator has to be fully aware of the consequences of modifying the PAM
configuration file.
• PAM Stacking may cause problems when used with password change and expiry because
of the password policy differences between the PAM modules being stacked. The users
may get their passwords (for different stacked PAM modules) out of sync if the policies
mismatch. Refer to the PAM documentation for details on stacking.
