Operating system requirements
HP CIFS Server A.02.04.06 can be installed on an HP 9000 or HP Integrity system running HP-UX
11i v1 operating system.
HP CIFS Server installation requirements
HP CIFS Server requires approximately the following disk space for installation:
• 108 MB of disk space for HP-UX 11i v1
• 210 MB of disk space for HP-UX 11i v2
• 215 MB of disk space for HP-UX 11i v3
The HP CIFS Server source code files require approximately 36 MB of disk space.
HP-UX memory and disk requirements
The minimum requirements of a 32-bit and 64-bit HP-UX 11i v1 system are 64 MB RAM and 1 GB
disk space. The minimum requirements of a 64-bit HP-UX 11i v2 and HP-UX 11i v3 system are 1
GB RAM and 2 GB disk space. HP recommends the following minimum memory and disk
requirements to allow upgrade and maintenance:
HP-UX 11i v1 32-bit 128 MB RAM and 1-2 GB disk
HP-UX 11i v1 64-bit 512 MB RAM and 2-3 GB disk
HP-UX 11i v2 and HP-UX 11i v3
64-bit
1 GB RAM for each CPU and 2-8.5 GB disk
Kerberos product requirements
The following Kerberos v5 Client versions are required to support HP CIFS Server integration with
Windows 2003 or later's ADS Domain Controller (DC) on HP-UX systems. Without this, the ADS
feature will not work properly.
• Kerberos v5 Client version C 1.3.5.06 or later for HP-UX 11i v1
• Kerberos v5 Client version D 1.6.2 or later for HP-UX 11i v2
• Kerberos v5 Client version E 1.6.2 or later for HP-UX 11i v3
