-m or --metrics
This option has two forms: -m cpu_event and -m event_set
-m cpu_event
This form is used to specify one or more CPU events to measure:
-m cpu_event[[:threshold=int][:privilege-level-mask=level]][,cpu_event[:...]]
You can change the default CPU events recorded for any of the following measurements:
• alat
• branch
• cycles
• dcache
• dtlb
• ecount
• fprof
• icache
• itlb
• pmu_trace
If you use this option but do not specify an event, or if the option value is set to the
empty string (""), then no metrics will be reported.
You can use the caliper info command to list available CPU events and their
descriptions.
cpu_event
Specifies a CPU event to measure. The name is
not case-sensitive. For information about CPU
events you can specify, see “Specifying Which
CPU Events to Measure” (p. 123).
