Removing BOOTAUTH11i
To remove the BOOTAUTH11i product, use the following command:
# swremove SM-BootAuth
NOTE You do not need to reboot the system after removing this product.
The swremove command removes the core functionality of BOOTAUTH11i, leaving the
bundle wrapper and patches on your system. Do not remove the patches that were
included with the product bundle. HP recommends that you retain those patches on your
system.
For more information on managing patches on your system, see HP-UX Patch
Management, part number 5967-3578. This document is available on the Support Plus
media as well as on the HP documentation web site at
http://docs.hp.com.com/hpux/pdf/5967-3578.pdf.
In addition, it is a good idea to manually remove the BOOT_AUTH entry from the
/etc/default/security file. However, it is not mandatory that you remove this entry
as it will have no effect on your system after removing SM-BootAuth.
