Boot Authenticator for Standard Mode of HP-UX (BOOTAUTH11i version B.11.11.01) is
a product that protects the single-user mode with root password authentication. The
security policies of a site may require users to authenticate before booting the system in
single-user mode. This product was available only on a system operating in trusted
mode. Currently, BOOTAUTH11i eliminates the need to convert the system into trusted
mode to provide secure single-user mode with root password protection.
