Using APA to Build a Screaming Fast Network Server Connection for HP-UX 11i v2 and v3

The auto-negotiation, auto-detection (with LACP), and auto-configuration (with LACP)
are used together to help prevent configuration errors when initially setting up Link
Aggregations. In addition, when additional bandwidth is needed just turn on LACP on
the new link (make sure this is done on both the server and switch) and APA will
automatically detect which Link Aggregate the new link should be included in and then
automatically configure it into the Link Aggregate.
Administration Tool:
HP SAM GUI or Command Line Interface (CLI)
Network Administrators can enter APA commands at the HP-UX prompt or the System
Administration Manager (SAM) GUI administration tool. The SAM GUI administration
tool offers a single common interface for all HP servers. Once APA has been installed it
appears as an additional system administration tool on the SAM menu option page.
