CPU-to-CPU Link Aggregates: Server to Server
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other workflow applications are increasing
productivity while reducing the costs of doing business. With a CPU-to-CPU link
aggregate, the workflow that passes between them takes the most direct route, which
also enables interruption-free backups.
Both Servers illustrate the use of multiple Link Aggregates on a single server. The server
on the left has two Link Aggregates, one configured for Intranet access with the IP based
Load Balancing algorithm and the second configured for direct server to server
communication with the CPU based algorithm. The server on the right also has two Link
Aggregates; however, one is configured for inside the data center and is configured with
the MAC based algorithm, while the other Link Aggregate is configured for direct server
to server communication and is therefore configured with the CPU algorithm.
