HP secure development lifecycle Starting with HP-UX 11i v3 March 2013 update release, HP secure development lifecycle provides the ability to authenticate HP-UX software. Software delivered through this release has been digitally signed using HP's private key. You can now verify the authenticity of the software before installing the products, delivered through this release. To verify the software signatures in signed depot, the following products must be installed on your system: • B.11.31.
1 HP APA overview for HP-UX 11i v3 This chapter provides information about the HP-UX 11i v3 Auto Port Aggregation (APA) and LAN Monitor software. Auto Port Aggregation HP APA is a software product that creates link aggregates, often called "trunks," which provide a logical grouping of two or more physical ports into a single “Fat-Pipe.
2 New features supported and known issues fixed in HP-UX 11i v3 releases New features in B.11.31.1403 version The following features are supported in B.11.31.1403 Version: • Mixing of 10GbE drivers (iexgbe and iocxgbe) is now supported in Aggregates or LAN Monitor. The APA minimum version for this is B.11.31.1303. The minimum version for iexgbe and iocxgbe is B.11.31.1303.1 and B.11.31.1303 respectively.
NOTE: • MANUAL mode link aggregation has been deprecated. It is planned for future obsolescence. HP recommends to not use this configuration. Configuration with link aggregation in LACP mode is recommended. • LB_PORT provides a better traffic distribution across each of the physical ports in the aggregation. HP recommends using LB_PORT for efficient traffic distribution. • HOT_STANDBY is obsoleted in this version. HP recommends using LAN_MONITOR. New feature B.11.31.71 release The B.11.31.

If workarounds are available, they are included.
Corrective Action: To use the network physical port on the HP 9000 server, physically move the connection from the server to the switch to another non-Cisco Fast EtherChannel port on the switch. • Cisco Catalyst 5000 Switches ◦ Turning off Cisco's Fast Ether Channel protocol on one network physical port on the HP 9000 server might cause the entire link aggregate (the port it is associated with) to be deconfigured.
