At runtime, radiusd logs debugging information that may be useful for
troubleshooting. The debug output can be turned on in the following ways:
• At Server startup - Use the radiusd command to turn on the debug output. For
more information on the radiusd command options, see Table 4-2.
• At server startup using the Server Manager - Use the Start configuration options
in the Administration screen to set the debug level. The debug output is not set
dynamically. Stop and start the HP-UX AAA Server for the debug output to be
recorded.
• After server startup - Use the raddbginc utility to turn the debug output on and
off, and to set the debug level while the HP-UX AAA Server is running. This
method is dynamic. You need not start and stop the HP-UX AAA Server to log
the debug output.
If the log files do not contain adequate information to isolate or solve a problem, use
debugging to increase the level of tracing and logging.
IMPORTANT: Logging debug information increases the HP-UX AAA Server's
processing overhead and can impact performance. Turn debugging off after you
troubleshoot the problem.
