Troubleshooting the HP-UX AAA Server
This section describes how to troubleshoot problems with HP-UX AAA Server startup
and operation. The troubleshooting flowchart in Figure 28-1 leads you to one of the
following sections:

Troubleshooting HP-UX AAA Server Startup Problems
This section describes how to troubleshoot problems encountered while starting the
HP-UX AAA Server.
To troubleshoot HP-UX AAA Server startup problems, complete the following steps:
1. Search for the failure error messages in the HP-UX AAA Server logfile using the
Server Logfile screen in the Server Manager administration utility. For more
information on using the Server Logfile screen, see “Using Server Manager to
Retrieve Logfile Information” (page 129).
2. Compare the failure error messages and the command line errors to those listed
in Table 28-2, and perform the appropriate corrective actions.
Common Problems with HP-UX AAA Server Startup
Table 28-2 lists the common problems that you can encounter while attempting to start
the HP-UX AAA Server. Compare the problem that you observe with those listed in
this table and perform the necessary corrective actions:
