HP-UX AAA Server A.07.01 Administrator's Guide
14 Managing Sessions
NOTE: This chapter does not apply to session management using the SQL Access
feature. See Chapter 18: “SQL Access” (page 207) for more information on session
management using the SQL Access feature.
This chapter covers two procedures: reading records of active sessions, and manually
stopping sessions.
Session Logs
After a user is successfully authenticated and the AAA server sends an Access-Accept,
the access device will send an Accounting-Request message to start the session. The
AAA server stores information about the session in an active session record. When the
users session is terminated, the client sends an Accounting-Request message to stop
the session. When a AAA server receives the stop message, it clears its active record
for the session and writes the session information to a file.
NOTE: This chapter does not apply to session management using the SQL Access
feature. See Chapter 18: “SQL Access” (page 207) for more information on session
management using the SQL Access feature.
HP recommends that you do not enable local session tracking for realms that are
configured for session management via the SQL Access feature.
