also that by default WLM does not activate Temporary Instant Capacity
when 15 or fewer processing days of temporary capacity are available.
You can change this default by setting the WLM global arbiter
utility_reserve_threshold keyword. For more information on the
utilitypri and utility_reserve_threshold keywords, see “Setting
up your WLM global arbiter configuration file” on page 265 or see
wlmparconf(4).
For more information on configuring WLM to use Temporary Instant
Capacity or PPU, see Chapter 7, “Managing SLOs across partitions,” on
page 255. For more information on integrating WLM with Temporary
Instant Capacity and PPU, see “Integrating with Temporary Instant
Capacity (TiCAP)/ Pay per use (PPU)” on page 410.
Management of Temporary Instant Capacity and PPU is available on
standalone systems as well as across partitions.
Using WLM on multiple servers
WLM manages one or more workloads on individual servers. To manage
workloads on multiple servers, install and configure WLM on each of the
servers.
Using WLM with HP Integrity Virtual
Machines (Integrity VM)
You can run WLM on an HP Integrity Virtual Machine Host and within
any Integrity VM running on the server. You can run WLM both on the
Integrity VM Host and in an Integrity VM (guest), but each WLM runs
as an independent instance. Observe the guidelines described in
“Integrating with HP Integrity Virtual Machines (Integrity VM)” on
page 408.
