HP-UX Workload Manager Release Notes
What’s in this version
10
Such support requires the following:
— If Instant Capacity is available on the complex, it must be v7 or later
— If HP-UX Virtual Partitions (vPars) is on the complex, it must be v4 (A.04.01) or later
— If Pay Per Use is on the complex, it must be v7 or later
• HP recommends using absolute CPU units (set absolute_cpu_units to 1).
• WLM now allows you to use wildcards in both the file name and the alternate name in a
single application record.
In earlier versions of WLM, if you use wildcards in an application record to specify a file
name, you cannot use alternate names for that application record.
• EMS can report the status and values of WLM metrics.
For more information, refer to the wlmemsmon(1M) manpage and the HP-UX Workload
Manager User’s Guide.
• wlminfo supports new options.
—The wlminfo slo command now supports the -c option to display data sorted first by
workload group, then priority, and then status. In addition, the wlminfo slo
command now allows you to specify multiple SLOs (-s slo), groups (-g grp), or
metrics (-m met) in a command line. In previous releases, you could only specify one
SLO, group, or metric. For example, to display data about SLOs named mgmt,
persnnl, and mrktg, you can now enter the following wlminfo slo command:
wlminfo slo -s mgmt -s persnnl -s mrktg
As in earlier releases, you can specify only one option type (-s slo, -g grp, or -m
met) in a command line.
—As with the wlminfo slo command, you can specify multiple items for the following
wlminfo commands, in the format indicated:
— wlminfo metric -m met1 [-m met2 ...]
— wlminfo group -g grp1 [-g grp2 ...]
— wlminfo par -h host1 [-h host2 ...]
— wlminfo proc -g grp1 [-g grp2 ...]
