Restart / shutdown failure
Previously, restarting or shutting down wlmcomd or wlmpard could occasionally fail. If a
restart failure occurred, you would see a message similar to:
daemon initialization error; check the error messages in /var/opt/wlm/msglog
where the entry in the msglog file is:
Unable to shut down the previous WLM within the time limit; therefore, not
starting a new WLM.
A shutdown failure (-k failure) produced a message such as:
wlmpard -k failed
These failures no longer occur.
PPUTKs utilitydc does not honor passive mode
WLMs Pay Per Use Toolkit provides a utilitydc utility that can activate/deactivate Pay Per
Use CPUs or iCOD CPUs.
Previously, utilitydc could continue to activate/deactivate CPUs even when WLM is started
in passive mode (wlmd -p).
Release A.02.03.01, used in combination with WLM Toolkits A.01.07.01, fixes this issue.
