Defect fix in B.11.23.1004 release

In the previous version, SCSI Consolidated Status provider returns no value for

HPUX_SCSIPortControllerCollection class if SCSI cards are not installed

on the machine. Due to this defect, the System Management Homepage displays

incorrect consolidated status of the cards.

In the current version this defect is fixed, and the class returns an instance of

HPUX_SCSIPortControllerCollection class with

GroupOperationalStatus as OK. As a result, the System Management

Homepage displays correct consolidated status even if SCSI cards are not installed

on the system.

on the SMH web page of the subsystem. In the current release, the deviceID property

In the previous release, on HP-UX system, enumerate instance of

HPUX_SCSIPortControllerCollection class returns incorrect data when

SCSI port controllers are not present.

addresses available on a system.

In the previous release, SCSI Consolidated Status provider displays erroneous data

on HP Virtual Machine guest systems.

Virtual Machine guest systems.

Known problems, workaround, and limitations

There are no known problems and workaround in the current release.

Following are the limitations of the SCSI provider:

• It is a read-only provider and hence does not allow users to modify, create, or delete instances.
