Provider Overview
Description
Web

Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) is an industry wide initiative to unify the management of
system,
networks, and applications across multiple and diverse vendor environments. It enables WBEM
clients to subscribe to indications, and indication consumers to receive indications. HP-Storage Indication
Provider is a Common Information Model (CIM) indication provider. It works in the Web-Based Enterprise
Management (WBEM) environment. This provider generates indications whenever the events of interest
occur in the storage subsystems.
On legacy servers, HPUXSASIndicationProviderModule generates indications of the type
HP_DeviceIndication class.
On New Generation Integrity servers, HPUXSASNativeIndicationProviderModule generates indications of
the type HP_DeviceIndication class.
Requirements
The provider requires:
 HP WBEM Services A.02.09.
 EMS core with version greater than or equal to v4.0.
 ProviderSvcsBase version C.02.00.02 or higher on Itanium-based platform only.
