Following are the limitations of the WBEM Providers:
• The IOTree Instance Provider does not support enumerateInstances and getInstance methods
for the association classes.
• All the instance providers are read-only providers. The providers do not allow users to
modify, create, or delete instances.
• The IOTree Indication Provider generates events for hot-swappable slots only.
Following defects are fixed in the current release:
• In the previous release, the provider exited displaying unknown errors if the cimserver was
not started on the target system. In the current release, the configure script / unconfigure
script exits without registering with the provider if the cimserver is not running or starting
on the target system.
• In the previous release, the IOTreeIndication provider took maximum of 30 seconds to
terminate. Now, the provider terminates instantaneously.
