Provider
Software Requirements
Providers require certain software products to be installed on the managed system. These
requirements are listed below:
• All the providers require WBEM Services Version A.02.05 to be installed on HP-UX 11i v1,
HP-UX 11i v2, and HP-UX 11i v3 systems to gather information about the subsystems.
• The SCSI-HBA CSP provider requires SCSI-HBA instance provider B.11.23.0706 or later to
be installed on the target system.
• The FC-CSP (WBEMP-FCP) provider requires FC-HBA instance provider to be installed on
the target system
• The FC-HBA provider requires the FC-COMMON product to be installed on the target
system.
• The XML scripts listed in Table 1-3 must be installed on your system to get the property
details and operational status of FC and SCSI provider.

Table 1-2 lists the disk space requirement for each of the providers.

Known Problems, Workarounds, Limitations, and Defect Fixes
This section lists the known problems, workarounds, limitations, and defect fixes.
The following problem is seen while using the SMH Web page:
SMH reports Operational Status as Unknown or Minor when all components in the System
Box display Green status. This is due to the fact that the operational status and properties of FC
and SCSI subsystems cannot be diagnosed on HP-UX 11i v1 and HP-UX 11i v2 systems.
