HP-UX WBEM Mass Storage Providers Release Notes, December 2007

What's New in This Release
The following enhancements are supported by the WBEM mass storage providers:
• The SCSI and Fibre-Channel providers are supported by the System Management Homepage
(SMH) application on HP-UX 11i v1 and HP-UX 11i v2 OS. The WBEM clients can obtain
the HBA properties from the SMH application.
• New classes are added in the Fibre-channel provider to obtain the following information
for the WBEM Clients:
— Data traffic statistics
— Slot number details of the cards
— Firmware version number of the cards installed on the system

• New classes are added in the LVM provider to support:
— Association between a volume group and the logical volumes created within the group.
— Association between a physical volume and the volume group for a spare physical
volume.
— Information about all the logical volumes that are mirrored.

• The RAIDSA provider supports the p800 card on HP-UX 11i v2 and HP-UX 11i v3 OS. The
SAS provider supports the AH303A card on HP-UX 11i v2.
Installing HP-UX WBEM Providers
The latest mass storage WBEM providers depot is available for download on the OE media. It
is also available on the Web for download at:

NOTE: The mass storage WBEM providers depot available on the Web does not support CSP
and IP features for all the related subsystems.
