HP-UX WBEM LAN Provider release notes (5900-2056, March 2012)

What is new in this release

WBEM LAN provider supports the following two adapters:

• Direct Input/Output (DIO) is supported with Broadcom 10-Gigabit Ethernet(driver:

iexgbe), Emulex CNA (driver: iocxgbe), AT118A, and NC552m on HPVM/vpars

6.1 and later. With LANIndicationProvider DIO support, DIO functions assigned to HPVM

guest is now monitored by both the host and guest. Any events generated on DIO configured

functions on the guest can be seen on the host.

With LANInstanceProvider DIO support, the instance information for DIO configured LAN

functions on guest is visible on both the guest and the host.

With LANCSPProvider DIO support, the health status on host now considers guest DIO

configured LAN functions while determining the overall health status.
