The HP-UX LAN CSP Provider i
s registered to support the "root/cimv2" namespace as
an instance provider.
The LAN CSP is part of the LAN Provider (WBEMP-LAN-00) product. There are no
special installation instructions for LAN CSP. It is automatically installed whenever the
LAN Provider (WBEMP-LAN-00) product is installed.
Installing only the provider will not require a system reboot.
Configuring this
provider
This Provider uses NetTL

tool for logging various messages during execution. For the
NetTL tool, the sub-system name of this Provider is WBEMPROVIDER-LAN. Use the
nettl command to turn on/off the logging or set the level of messages to be logged by
this Provider.
The provider logs Informational and Error level messages.
To view the log file in a formatted manner, use the command:
netfmt -f <logfilename>
e.g. netfmt –f /var/adm/nettl.LOG000
Using This Provider
Schema supported by
this provider
This provider supports the HP_GroupSystemSpecificCollection,
HP_GroupHostedCollection and CIM_MemberOfCollection classes through the sub-
classes HPUX_EthernetPortCollection, HPUX_EthernetGroupHostedCollection and
HPUX_EthernetMemberOfCollection respectively. Tables 1 through 3 describe the
properties and methods supported by the provider.
The following table lists the properties and the values of the class HPUX_EthernetPortCollection. KEY properties are
marked in bold-face.

LAN CSP needs root privilege to use NetTL tool for logging messages. Please refer to man page of nettl(1M) for details on how to
use the NetTL tool.
