Using Kernel Providers
The Kernel Providers installed on the system can be used by writing CIM Client applications.

Fixes
Unless listed in the Known Problems and Workarounds section, all previous Kernel Providers
known problems have been fixed in the current release of Kernel Providers.
Table 1-2 Defects Fixed in September 2008 Release

Kernel Tunable Name has been set as a unique Key value that identifies a tunable
CIM Instance. This unique identifier makes it possible to access the instances through
a CIM client.

The KERNEL-PROVIDERS.KCPROV-RUN fileset contains a file entry, /opt/
uxprov/doc/license_info/Xerces-Copyright, with owner vobadm and
group eml (rather than bin/bin). This owner and group name in the fileset causes
a system hang while upgrading the system from HP–UX 11i v2 to HP–UX 11i v3.
This defect is fixed in the current release.
