1 HP-UX WBEM Kernel Providers Release Notes This document discusses the most recent product information on HP-UX Kernel providers that is supported on HP-UX 11i v2 and HP-UX 11i v3 operating systems. Table 1 (page 4) lists the product versions for which the document is applicable. Table 1 Documentation Support for Kernel Provider Operating System Version HP-UX 11i v3 C.05.00.
NOTE: The Boot and Crash dump providers are supported only on HP-UX 11i v3 system. HP-UX WBEM Kernel Providers The Kernel Configuration providers, Swap provider, and Boot and Crash dump providers support the following features: • Instance provider ◦ This feature provides information about kernel configuration parameters, swap space related parameters, boot variables in stable storage, and crash dump related parameters.
Software Requirements The provider requires certain software products to be installed on the managed system. Table 2 (page 6) lists the software product requirement for the provider. When multiple threads are serving requests from Swap provider, the initialization of map is corrupted during race conditions. This defect is fixed in the current release. Software Availability in Native Languages The product is supported only in English locale (LANG=C). Behavior of the product is unpredictable when LANG value is set to any other language code other than C. Documentation support for this product is also available only in English locale.
