1 HP-UX WBEM IOTree Indication Provider Release Notes This document discusses the most recent product information on HP-UX WBEM IOTree Indication provider, which is supported on HP-UX 11i v1, HP-UX 11i v2, and HP-UX 11i v3 operating systems. HP-UX WBEM IOTree Indication Provider The IOTree Indication Provider (IOTree-IP) generates indications when certain events occur in the PCI I/O subsystem. This provider generates the following indications: • Slot Occupied • Slot Emptied • Slot Power Off • Slot Power On • Slot Driver Suspended • Slot Driver Resumed The IOTree Indication provider supports the following features: • Supports Consolidated Status provider (CS provider).

Table 7 Defect fix in the HP-UX 11i v3 OS (continued) Defect ID Description Defect Fix in B.11.31.1003 Release In the current release, users can configure I/O subsystem polling interval to improve the CPU utilization time. The configuration file, to configure the polling interval, is available at the following location on the system: /var/opt/iotreeip/config. By default, the I/O subsystem polling interval value is set to 1 minute. This fix is available as part of B.11.31.
Known Problems, Workarounds, Limitations The following known problem is for the current release: • Problem: No e-mail alerts for the subscription. Description: Users will not receive e-mail alerts for existing and new e-mail subscriptions due to database authorization issue in September 2011 release. Workaround: There is no workaround for this problem.
