HP secure development lifecycle Starting with HP-UX 11i v3 March 2013 update release, HP secure development lifecycle provides the ability to authenticate HP-UX software. Software delivered through this release has been digitally signed using HP's private key. You can now verify the authenticity of the software, before installing the products, delivered through this release. To verify the software signatures in signed depot, the following products must be installed on your system: • B.11.31.
1 IOTree indication provider release notes for March 2014 release This document discusses the most recent product information on HP-UX WBEM IOTree indication provider, which is supported on HP-UX 11i v1, HP-UX 11i v2, and HP-UX 11i v3 operating systems. • Supports WBEM 2.5 services security features to control access to HP-UX data. • Supports Indication Provider (IP) feature on HP-UX 11i v1, HP-UX 11i v2 and HP-UX 11i v3 OS. This feature generates indication in WBEM format and delivers the events to cimserver. NOTE: HP-UX vPar/VM 6.3 released on Fusion Release, AR1403 supports PCI OL* in vPar/VM guests. Even if vPar/VM 6.3 based guests are installed, IOTree indication provider does not generate OL* events in guests.

HP-UX 11i v3 Defect fixes in B.11.31.1303 release Table 7 B.11.31.1303 Defect ID QXCR1001233664 Description When the first node of the system names is changed to a name that has more than 8 characters, all the events generated by the IOTreeIndicationProvider has “System” field as “Not Available” instead of actual system name. This issue is fixed in this release. The events get generated with correct system name even after changing the first node of hostname to more than 8 characters. Defect fixes in B.11.

Known problems from the previous releases The following known problems are tabulated from the previous release. • Problem: No email alerts for the subscription. Description: Users will not receive email alerts for existing and new email subscriptions due to database authorization issue in September 2011 release. Workaround: There is no workaround for this problem.
