Known Problems, Workarounds, Limitations

The following known problem is for the current release:

• Problem: No e-mail alerts for the subscription.

Description: Users will not receive e-mail alerts for existing and new e-mail subscriptions due

to database authorization issue in September 2011 release.

Workaround: There is no workaround for this problem.

Following are the limitations of the IOTree Indication provider:

• Warning messages generated upon upgrading WBEMP-IOTreeIP.

Description: Upon upgrade of September 2008 and March 2009 version of WBEMP-IOTreeIP

+ PHSS_40180 patch to March 2010 / September 2010 / September 2011 version of

WBEMP-IOTreeIP, swverify of WBEMP-IOTreeIP, generates few warnings displayed as follows:

WARNING: Directory "/var/opt/iotreeip" should have mode "555" but the

> > actual mode is "755".

> > WARNING: Directory "/var/opt/iotreeip" should have owner,uid "bin,2"

> > but the actual owner,uid is "root,0".

> > WARNING: Directory "/var/opt/iotreeip" should have group,gid "bin,2"

> > but the actual group,gid is "other,1".

> > WARNING: Directory "/var/opt/iotreeip/config" should have mode "555"

> > but the actual mode is "755".

> > WARNING: Fileset "WBEMP-IOTreeIP.IOTREEIP-LIB,l=/,r=B.11.31.1009" had

> > file warnings.

Workaround: Remove the older version of WBEMP-IOTreeIP and reinstall September 2011

version of WBEMP-IOTreeIP afresh. This problem will be fixed in next upcoming release.
