In the current release, this defect is fixed. As a result, events reported by the

HPUXFCIndicationProviderModule are not lost even if event subscriptions are created

by a non-privileged user.

Defects Fixed in B.11.31.1004 Release

In the previous release, during installation of Fibre-Channel provider, the /prod_info/

FCP-NIP-RUN/configuration file contained RAIDSA provider related message.

In the current release, the /prod_info/FCP-NIP-RUN/ configuration file is modified to

display Fibre-Channel provider related message.

In the previous release, events generated by all I/O Indication providers were logged in

Fibre-Channel provider database FCPROVDB, available at the location:/opt/psb/db/pgsql/

bin/psql .

in the FCPROVDB database, available at the location: /opt/psb/db/pgsql/bin/psql.

In the previous release, following fields were not populated with appropriate values from the

HPUXFCNativeIndicationProviderModule:

In the current release, these fields are populated from the indications generated by

HPUXFCIndicationProviderModule and

In the previous release, after OE install, reboot, or upgrade, the Fibre-Channel Indication

module times-out while registering with EMS.

In the current release, this defect is fixed by increasing the time-out value of EMS registration.
