1 HP-UX WBEM Fibre Channel provider release Notes This document discusses the most recent product information on HP-UX WBEM Fibre Channel (FC) provider, which is supported on HP-UX 11i v1, HP-UX 11i v2, and HP-UX 11i v3 operating systems. What's new in this release The FCProvider config and log files are available in the following directories: /var/opt/psb/diags/conf/fcprovider/ /var/opt/psb/diags/log/fcprovider/ For information about defect fixes, see “Defects fixed in this version” (page 8). Installing HP-UX WBEM Fibre Channel provider The WBEM FC provider depot is available for download on the OE media and web.

Defect fix in B.11.11.09 release QXCR1001193817 After you upgrade to FCProvider B.11.11.08 version, the FD leak in the FCProvider caused the system to hang. In the current release, this defect is fixed and there is no FD leak in the FCProvider.

In the current release, the command output displays all dynamic data in a variable array in HPUXFCDIndicationProvider and HPUXTDIndicationProvider.

The provider registers with the ems Registrar for events with severity greater than or equal to 1.

Known problems, workarounds, and limitations The following known problems are for the current release: • When FC provider B.11.31.1103.14 or later is installed on legacy Integrity systems, dm_ql_adapter and dm_fclp_adapter are never launched regardless of the diag mode. HPUXFCNativeIndicationProvider always monitors natively the hardware and generates WBEM events. The reverse wrapper, FC_Wbemwrapper, may be launched depending on the connected hardware.
