VxVM and boot disk failure
Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM) protects systems from disk and other hardware
failures and helps you to recover from such events. Recovery procedures help to
prevent loss of data or system access due to the failure of the boot (root) disk.
The procedures for recovering volumes and their data on boot disks differ from
the procedures that are used for non-boot disks.
