Even though this error message is displayed, the clone operation completes in the
background. A rescan in the GUI displays the appropriate objects.
Workaround
In the SOFTWARE\VERITAS\VRTSobc\pal33\Agents\__defaults section in the /etc/
vx/isis/Registry file, add the following key:
[REG_INT] "USE_RT_TIMEOUT" = 0;
• The dbed_clonedb -o restartdb command fails after the database group switches
to a second node with spfile.
In Storage Foundation for Oracle High Availability, the restartdb command for a
checkpoint clone database can be run only on the node on which you have created the clone.
• Problem
Checkpoint Rollback corrupts Oracle database when upgrading from Oracle 9i to Oracle
10g
If an Oracle 9i database is upgraded to Oracle 10g, and at a later point in time the database
is rolled back to the Oracle 9i environment, then the recovery procedure for Oracle 9i logs
following error in the alert log file:
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [2662]..."
This bug has been documented by Oracle as bug number 2216823.
Workaround
Do not use the pre-existing tempfile. Instead, you can either obtain a backup of the
tempfile with the remaining database, or remove the tempfile and then re-create a new
tempfile when the database is open.
• Veritas DBMS cannot distinguish between hosts with long hostnames
If two hostnames are more than 8 characters long and the first 8 characters are identical, the
VxDBMS cannot distinguish between them.
• Problem
If the value for the base_pagesize tunable is set to 64 K, the following error message may
be displayed while installing the 5.0.1 bundles, namely T2773DB, T2774DB, T2777DB,
T2789DB, T8684DB, T8686DB, T8687DB, T8694DB, T8696DB and T8697DB:

Workaround
You must set the base_pagesize tunable to a supported value prior to installing the 5.0.1
bundles. The supported values are 4 K, 8 K, and 16 K. If you are using the 5.0.1 bundles in
an HP-UX Integrity VM host, you must set the base_pagesize tunable to 4 K. Ensure that
you have installed the PHKL_39784 patch before setting the base_pagesize value of the
host to 4K.
