The Actions > Disk Mirror menu is incorrectly disabled if you do not have a Full VxVM
license.
Workaround
Use the vxmirror command line to mirror the disk.
• Name Service Switch Configuration File
Problem
For VEA to operate successfully, the name service switch configuration file,
/etc/nsswitch.conf, must be present on the system.
Workaround
See nsswitch.conf (4) for more information.
• Accessing the Task Log
Problem
The task log accessed from the Log tree is not supported.
Workaround
None. Entries are written to the log file in /var/vx/isis/command.log.
• Permitting Remote Access to the X Windows Server
Problem
The following X Windows system error may occur when starting VEA:
Xlib: connection to "hostname:0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Client is not authorized to connect to Server
Workaround
Allow access to the local X server by using the following command:
# xhost + [hostname]
Internationalization Issues
Following internationalization issues are identified:
• Comments in Japanese on a Snapshot Volume Are Not Displayed Correctly
Problem
Comments that are entered in the Japanese character set in the Snapshot Options dialog of
the Create Instant Snapshot screen of the VEA GUI are not saved or displayed correctly.
Workaround
There is no work around available for this problem.
Miscellaneous Issues
Following miscellaneous issues are identified:
• Auto-import of Disk Groups Post Disk Failure
Problem
If a disk fails when a disk group is being imported and the disk is brought back to life after
the group has been deported, the disk group is auto-imported the next time the system
boots. This deviates from the normal rule that only disk groups that are imported at the time
of a crash must be auto-imported during system boot.
