Onlining a Disk

Onlining a Disk
The Online Disk procedure restores access to a disk that has been
taken offline. The disk is made accessible to VxVM again. After bringing
a disk back online, the disk must be added to a dynamic disk group
before it can be used for volumes (see “Adding a Disk to VxVM” on
page 52).
To bring a disk online
Step 1. Select the disk to be brought online.
Step 2. Choose Actions > Online Disk.
Step 3. Enter Yes to confirm disk offline.
NOTE
• When a disk is brought online, the disk is accessible again.
• Only disks in the offline state can be brought online.
