Viewing Disk Properties

The Disk Properties window contains detailed information about the selected disk. The

following information is displayed.

Category Description

Disk Name of disk in VxVM.

Group Name Name of dynamic disk group associated with the disk.

Type Field is Dynamic.

Status Fields are Imported and Deported.

Capacity Size in megabytes or gigabytes

Unallocated Space Amount of free space that is available to create a partition or

volume.

Spare Indicates whether or not the disk has been designated as a hot

spare.

Reserved Indicates whether the disk is reserved Not to be used as a

dynamic disk.

No Hot Use Indicates whether thedisk is not tobeused as ahot spareor to

receive volumes from the Hot Relocation procedure.
