Command Log

Select the popup menu option Throttle Task to change the task priority. You can change
the priority for a single task, or select Throttle All Tasks to apply the priority to all
Volume Manager Tasks. Click Ok to complete your selection.
Clearing Finished Tasks
Tasks are persistent in the Tasks console. To remove completed tasks from the window,
select Clear All Finished Tasks from the popup menu.
Viewing Task Properties
To view task properties and the low-level commands used to perform a task, select the
task and choose Properties from the popup menu. You can also access task properties by
double-clicking on the task.
Command Log
The command log file contains a history of VEA tasks performed in the current session
and previous sessions. It contains adescription ofeach task, along with propertiessuch as
the start/finish times and the low-level commands used to perform the task. For failed
tasks, the command log includes any relevant error messages. The command log file
resides, and can be viewed, at /var/vx/isis/command.log.
The following example shows a sample command log file entry:

Search/Report
The Search/Report feature allows you to search for objects on the system running VxVM.
To invoke the Search/Report feature, choose Tools > Search. This brings up the “Search
on Host” dialog.
