Upgrading a Cluster
This procedure upgrades a cluster and its nodes while the cluster
remains accessible. This is accomplished by upgrading one node in the
cluster at a time so that at least one node remains online at all times.
When all of the nodes in the cluster are upgraded, the cluster protocol
version is upgraded to support the new version of the software.
To upgrade a cluster
Step 1. Upgrade each node in the cluster to the new software version as follows:
a. Stop the node (as described in “Stopping a Cluster”).
b. Upgrade the software on the node.
c. Restart the node (as described in “Starting a Node”).
d. Repeat these steps for each node in the cluster, one node at a time.
Step 2. Select the cluster to be upgraded.
Step 3. Choose Clusters > Rolling Upgrade (Selected menu) or Cluster Rolling
Upgrade (Command Launcher).
Step 4. Complete the Rolling Upgrade dialog box as follows (if applicable):
When you have provided all necessary information in the dialog box,
Cluster: Type the name of the cluster or click Browse to select a
cluster.
