Importing a Shared Disk Group
This procedure makes a deported (inaccessible) disk group and its
volumes accessible in a cluster environment. To import a deported disk
group as shared, you must know the disk group’s former name and this
disk group name must remain unused. In addition, at least one disk
formerly assigned to the deported disk group must remain unused.
To import a disk group
Step 1. Select the host machine that is the master node.
Step 2. Choose Hosts > Import Disk Group (Selected menu) or Disk Group
Import (Command Launcher).
Step 3. Complete the Import Disk Group dialog box as follows:
Disk Group Name: Type the name of the disk group to be imported or
click Browse to select the disk group.
Cluster Settings Click Show Options to access the optional settings
for this task. Select Import Shared to import the
disk group as a shared disk group.
