Starting a Node
Chapter 5 221
Starting a Node
This procedure activates a node (host) in a cluster. This causes the node
to join the cluster. A node must be started before it can access shared
objects in the cluster. If a node has been stopped for some reason, you can
use this task to restart the node.
To start node in a cluster
Step 1. Select the node (host) to be started.
Step 2. Choose Cluster Nodes > Start Node (Selected menu) or Cluster Start
Node (Command Launcher).
Step 3. Complete the Start Cluster Node dialog box as follows (if applicable):
When you have provided all necessary information in the dialog box,
click OK.
Cluster Node: Type the name of the host machine or click Browse to
select the host.
Notes:
• This task is only applicable in a cluster environment.
• When a node is started, the node joins the cluster and has access to
the shared objects in the cluster.
