Clearing Relocation Information for a Disk
Group
This procedure clears hot-relocation alerts and removes relocation data
from a disk group.
To clear relocation information for a disk group
Step 1. Select the disk group containing hot-relocation information to be cleared.
Step 2. Choose Disk Groups > Clear Relocation Information (Selected menu) or
Disk Group Clear Relocation Info (Command Launcher).
Step 3. Complete the Clear Disk Group Relocation Information dialog box as
follows:
When you have provided all necessary information in the dialog box,
click OK.
Disk Group(s): If the correct disk group name is not already displayed
in this field, type the disk group’s name or click Browse
to select the disk group.
Notes:
Hot-relocation automatically relocates subdisks from a failed disk to
other disks. The disk group records information about the
hot-relocation and former subdisk locations. After successful
hot-relocation, alerts may remain on objects in the Storage
Administrator. The Clear Disk Group Relocation Information task
removes all records of the former subdisk locations from the disk
group and clears any alerts.
After clearing the disk group relocation information, it is not possible
to use the Unrelocate Disk task to return the relocated subdisks to
their original disks.
