Introduction
This chapter briefly describes the steps needed to initialize Volume
Manager and the daemons that must be running for Volume Manager to
operate. This chapter also provides guidelines to help you set up a
system with storage management.

detailed information on how to install and set up the Volume Manager
and the Storage Administrator on HP-UX 11i systems.
NOTE On HP-UX 11i Version 1.5 systems, initialization and setup is done
automatically when the default operating system is installed.
