Ignoring the established CDS limits on a file system
By default, CDS ignores the limits that are implied by the operating system targets
that are listed in the target_list file.
To ignore the established CDS limits on a file system
Type the following command:
# fscdsadm -l ignore mount_point
Validating the operating system targets for a file system
To validate the operating system targets for a file system
Type the following command:
# fscdsadm -v mount_point
Displaying the CDS status of a file system
The CDS status that is maintained for a file system includes the following
information:
the target_list file
the limits implied by the target_list file
whether the limits are being enforced or ignored
whether all files are within the CDS limits for all operating system targets that
are listed in the target_list file
To display the CDS status of a file system
Type the following command:
# fscdsadm -s mount_point
Migrating a file system one time
This example describes a one-time migration of data between two operating
systems. Some of the following steps require a backup of the file system to be
created. To simplify the process, you can create one backup before performing
any of the steps instead of creating multiple backups as you go.
