Performing tasks in the Storage Foundation for Oracle
Web GUI
You can perform the following tasks in the Veritas Storage Foundation for Oracle
Web GUI.
■ Managing your database
■ Using Storage Mapping
■ Using a clone database
■ Managing Storage Checkpoints
■ Managing snapshots
■ Maintaining your configuration
Tasks are accessible through drop down lists in the right pane, or under the
database objects on the summary pages.
Accessing database management tasks in the Web GUI
You can use the Veritas Storage Foundation for Oracle Web GUI for setting up a
database.
■ Starting an Oracle database instance
■ Starting an Oracle snapshot database instance
■ Shutting down and Oracle database instance
■ Restarting an Oracle instance
To access Oracle database wizards in the Web GUI

Start the Web GUI and connect to the desired host.

In the Summary View, select Storage Foundation for Oracle.

Click the Oracle database.

Select the database task in the drop down list in the left pane to display the
corresponding wizard.
