Veritas Storage Foundation 5.1 SP1 Cluster File System Installation Guide (5900-1510, April 2011)

Uninstalling SFCFS depots using the script-based
installer
Use the following procedure to remove SFCFS products.
Not all depots may be installed on your system depending on the choices that you
made when you installed the software.
See About configuring secure shell or remote shell communication modes before
installing products on page 405.
To shut down and remove the installed SFCFS depots
1
Comment out or remove any Veritas File System (VxFS) entries from the file
system table /etc/fstab. Failing to remove these entries could result in
system boot problems later.
2
Unmount all mount points for VxFS file systems.
# umount /mount_point
3
If the VxVM package (VRTSvxvm) is installed, read and follow the uninstallation
procedures for VxVM.
4
Stop the VEA Service.
# /opt/VRTS/bin/vxsvcctrl stop
5
Make sure you have performed all of the prerequisite steps.
6
In an HA configuration, stop VCS processes on either the local system or all
systems.
To stop VCS processes on the local system:
# hastop -local
To stop VCS processes on all systems:
# hastop -all
7
Move to the /opt/VRTS/install directory and run the uninstall script.
# cd /opt/VRTS/install
For Veritas Storage Foundation Cluster File System
# ./uninstallsfcfs
