Veritas Storage Foundation 5.1 SP1 Cluster File System Installation Guide (5900-1510, April 2011)

To stop the second half of the cluster
1
Stop all the applications on the node that are not under VCS control. Use
native application commands to stop the applications.
2
Stop all VCS service groups.
# hagrp -offline group_name -sys system03
# hagrp -offline group_name -sys system04
3
Freeze the nodes in the second half of the cluster
# haconf makerw
# hasys -freeze group_name -persistent
# haconf -dump -makero
4
Stop VCS on the second half of the cluster:
# hastop -local -force
5
If you created local VxFS mount points on VxVM volumes, added them to the
/etc/fstab file, and comment out the mount point entries in the /etc/fstab
file.
6
Set the LLT_START attribute to 0 in the /etc/rc.config.d/lltconf file:
LLT_START=0
7
On each node of the second half of the cluster, edit the /etc/vxfenmode file
to configure I/O fencing in disabled mode.
# cat /etc/vxfenmode
vxfen_mode=disabled
8
If the cluster-wide attribute UseFence is set to SCSI3, then reset the value to
NONE in the /etc/VRTSvcs/conf/config/main.cf file.
