Verifying and updating licenses on the system
After you install Storage Foundation Cluster File System, you can verify the
licensing information using the vxlicrep program. You can replace the demo
licenses with a permanent license.

Checking licensing information on the system
You can use the vxlicrep program to display information about the licenses on a
system.
To check licensing information

Navigate to the folder containing the vxlicrep program and enter:
# vxlicrep

Review the following output to determine the following information:
■ The license key
■ The type of license
■ The product for which it applies
■ Its expiration date, if any. Demo keys have expiration dates. Permanent
keys and site keys do not have expiration dates.
Updating product licenses using vxlicinst
You can use the vxlicinst command to add the Storage Foundation Cluster File
System license key on each node. If you have Storage Foundation Cluster File
System already installed and configured and you use a demo license, you can
replace the demo license.

To update product licenses

On each node, enter the license key using the command:
# vxlicinst -k XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXX
