# vxassist -g diskgroup make volume length mirror=2 \
logtype=drl [loglen=len-blocks] [logmap_len=len-bytes]
This command creates log subdisks that are each equal to the size of the DRL
log.
Note the following restrictions
■ loglen is set to a default value that
is based on disk group alignment.
■ maplen is set to a reasonable value.
If neither logmap_len nor loglen is
specified
■ For pre-version 110 disk groups,
maplen is set to zero.
■ For version 110 and greater disk
groups, maplen is set to use all the
bytes available in the on-disk map.
If only loglen is specified
■ For pre-version 110 disk groups,
logmap_len is not applicable.
■ For version 110 and greater disk
groups, maplen must be less than the
number of available bytes in the
on-disk map for the default log
length.
If only logmap_len is specified
Setting the DRL map length
To set a DRL map length

Stop the volume to make the DRL inactive.

Type the following command:
# vxvol -g diskgroup set [loglen=len-blocks] \
[logmap_len=len-bytes] volume
This command does not change the existing DRL map size.
