Enabling, Disabling, or Modifying Oracle Space Alarm Settings
Enabling the Oracle space alarm allows VxDBA to monitor tablespace and datafile space usage.
The warning is sent to the log file
/var/log/dbed_mon/dbed_mon.logfile.$ORACLE_SID
Note Only users with superuser (root) privileges can perform this operation.
The Enable/Disable/Modify Oracle Space Alarm Settings operation first checks to see if you are
logged in as root. If you are not logged in as root, VxDBA prompts you for the root
password:
